This group was founded by me, Jessica, age 13. I have been passionate about animals all my life. It hurts me to see those poor animals in the pound, about to be put down. Even the animals that are adopted have lived in poor to horrible conditions, in the pound. A couple years ago, i started saving my money, to donate to the Humane Society. Half of the money I raise by doing various things like babysitting, crafts, and chores, I save. Once I save enough, I donate it to the local Humane Society.
After Jessica told me about Paws for Teens, to be honest I didn't think I would get very into it. However, In within the first 10 days I had made 10 different types of flyers to support animal adoption and just info, posters for 2 different animals, and I made 40 dollars for the club and 65 to the humane society anlong with some extra, for me to get supplies. It was so much more than I had expected. This affair has made me so much more aware of all that is going on with the animals today. Such as the huge over population in the shelters, and how many people are so unaware of all the situations about the animals. It warms my heart and does me good to see the animals getting adopted! I hope that the PAWS for Teens organization will encourage others to get involved and always care for the animals!
